Torrent De Pareis / Sa Calobra

This spectacular limestone gorge is possibly Mallorca’s greatest natural wonder, and a favorite of mine to photograph. Most images taken in Torrent de Pareis show the narrow gap between the two massive rocks which lead to a tiny, hidden, micro-beach.

I decided to try the exact opposite and photograph the gorge looking inwards. This resulted in a much more original and artistic representation of what Torrent de Pareis actually looks like when you first arrive there. The color of the sea in this part of the island consists of deep blues and light emerald tones, and the water, even in summer, is freezing cold.
